Tim Ross Named APWA Top Ten Public Works Leader of the Year

The American Public Works Association (APWA) has named Tim Ross, former CEO and President of GBA, as a 2023 Top Ten Public Works Leader of the Year. This recognition focuses on honoring outstanding career service achievements of individual public works professionals and officials from both the public and private sectors of North America.

“I am honored to receive this prestigious award,” said Tim Ross. “The opportunities I have experienced because of my involvement with the APWA KC Metro Chapter and the relationships I have developed throughout my career have been so rewarding. I feel honored to be among the other esteemed award recipients.”

Tim started his career at GBA in 1978, climbing the ranks to Principal and eventually President and CEO in 2015. In July of 2022, Tim retired from full-time status at GBA but continues in a consulting capacity. Throughout his career, he was passionate to mentor others and give back to the community through professional organizations. He served as the 2015 APWA KC Metro Chapter President, 2021-22 ACEC Missouri Chair of the Board and was the Ken Cardwell Heart of America Award Recipient from the KC Metro Chapter of APWA in 2021.
