Project Overview
The GBA team was responsible for the complete renovation of various locations in the Minneapolis VAHCS Inpatient Pharmacy Department Building. The renovations included the basement, ward, penthouse mechanical space and all spaces above and below those areas.
This project included 7 phases of construction including AHU modification, AHU replacement, clean room construction, multi-story shaft ductwork installation, architectural finishes, dumbwaiter shaft removal, mechanical upgrades, electrical and low voltage systems, camera and security systems.
The basement inpatient pharmacy construction included a complete gut and renovation in preparation for the upcoming United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) regulations. Demolition and replacement of the walls, flooring, HVAC systems, millwork and electrical systems were also included.
The Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Compounding suite included a gut and renovation as well as the demolition of an existing restroom to make room for expansion.
All construction was completed while the medical facility remained in full operation.
