Project Overview

The Johnson County Fire District 1 New Station 81 is located amid the BNSF Inland Port/Intermodal Facility and the Logistics Park KC in Edgerton, Kansas. Strategically positioned to serve southwest Johnson County and the growing number of industrial facilities, this new fire station contains 11 bunk rooms, a day room, a kitchen and dining room, offices, contamination rooms, apparatus bays for four department vehicles, a training room and an emergency operation center.

GBA worked closely with the City of Edgerton’s Community Development Department and Johnson County Fire District 1 as a third-party permitting agent to ensure code compliance for this critical facility.
