Project Scope
In the early 2000s, GBA began working with the City of Lenexa and its development partners on the City Center project. In its East Village, GBA designed the street, sanitary sewer, storm drainage and utility infrastructure in 2004-05. Constructed in 2006, GBA completed the site plan design for the first building, which now houses the Grand Street Café.
In 2014, Perceptive Software moved into its headquarters in City Center Lenexa. GBA worked with the master developer and the city to design the first phase of the site, including its main road, 89th Street and Penrose Lane. Construction of the E2 site, now housing Saint’s Pub, occurred at the same time. GBA also assisted with The Lenexa City Hall and Civic Center. To support the district development, GBA also designed City Center Drive.
GBA provided full site development services for the $67 million project, which was partially funded by the 3/8 cent sales tax, and boasts three state-of-the-art buildings.
