Project Overview
The NextGen Precision Health Institute project is a four-story, 265,000-square-foot specialty research facility with an oversized basement and mechanical penthouse. The building includes lab spaces programmed for faculty, graduate students and clinicians, as well as collaborative spaces for work with industry partners. The facility’s intent is to help translate fundamental research from laboratories to effective treatments and devices.
The program and spaces include a vivarium, imaging core (7T MRI, PET CT, SPECT CT suites), electron microscopy core, GMP/clean room core, biological labs with RAD waste piping and containment system, chemical/material sciences labs, computational labs, innovation (flexible) space, collaborative and conferencing space, offices and support spaces.
GBA served as the building permitting agent on behalf of the University of Missouri System.
